Well, it wasn’t so much my veins as I had an ulceration on my ankle that had been there for a year, year and a half maybe, and it was not responding to any of the treatments I would normally expect. Nothing was working. I would not wear shorts, I would not wear sandals. It looked pretty nasty. So I’d be wearing long pants in hot weather.
My husband is very confident man, and to see him over the course of a couple of years have his confidence wane because of a physical issue. I didn’t want to see his life become less active because he was uncomfortable about even going to the gym wearing shorts and working out.
I was not being proactive in getting treatment. And my wife Maura here, who is my keeper (laughter) took it upon herself to seek out treatment. She didn’t like what she saw and she was tired of hearing me complain about it. And so she found Dr. Sorenson and it’s been a terrific experience. They’re terrific people. He’s a great guy. He’s very knowledgeable. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. I’d say mission accomplished. Everything came out great. I get to wear shorts and flip-flops in the summer time, which I like very much!
